We are the Lindgren’s - Carl, Kathryn, Jasper and Milo. It was our long time dream to buy a property, renovate, sink our hands into the soil (getting to know its bounty) and simply spend quality time as a family in the hinterland of Byron Bay. In 2015 we finally reached this goal and the adventure began! We sold our 20 year media business in Brisbane and moved to the rolling green hills of hinterland Byron Bay. Jasper and Milo attended Bangalow Public School and we lived the dream. Surfing, discovering local hikes, chasing waterfalls, swimming the bubbling creeks, shopping at farmers markets, feeling the orange glow of the sunset every evening and slowly reshaping our beloved Patch into the paradise that it is today. The boys high school years approached and we moved back to Brisbane and have for the last 7 years shared our love of The Patch (through holiday rental) with many guests. Our valued guests have seen exactly what we have seen… a uniquely special place.

The Patch is even more special to the boys and I now that we have unfortunately lost our beloved Carl to cancer in 2022. So much of Carl is visible in every book, quote, LP album, artwork and artefact within the cottage. Carl built the deck, the kitchen, the tree houses, the tree swings, the yoga deck and the boys and I have a family story at The Patch which is…. irreplaceable.
